A Tree In Need is a 501 C (3) non profit organization dedicated to providing essential outdoor services at no cost to community members in need. This includes veterans single parent households and our elders and neighbors alike. Our organization will offer tree services, landscaping, Christmas light installation, power washing, roofing, gutter cleaning and fence work-all funded through the generosity of our donors. By alleviating the financial burden of these essential needs, we aim to enhance the quality of life for those who have served our country and for the families facing economic hardship. About me
My name is Keith Jenkins Jr.,
and I am the Executive Director of A Tree In Need.
Over the past few years, I've worked with various landscaping companies and have frequently witnessed the challenges faced by our elders laboring in their yards during the intense Texas heat, single-parent households struggling with overgrown lawns, and homeowners who can’t afford tree work after storms have damaged their property. Many simply can't fit these services into their budgets, and often, insurance won’t cover it.
This motivated me to create a solution that makes these essential services affordable for everyone. I remember growing up, mowing the lawn of my elderly neighbor for just $10, but what if there was a company that offered this help at no cost? That's how "A Tree In Need" was born.
The idea is simple: we all know at least one tree that could use a little care, and with community support, we can revive it. My mission is to take care of our trees and support our community members, especially those who need it the most. Together, we can make a difference—starting locally and expanding to a broader impact.
